How can you negotiate a break between jobs!
Hi fishes, My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?

1. Data Analytics
2. Machine Learning
3. Front End and UI ( angular/react)
4. Back End ( java springboot)
I switched to Java after 7 years in Mainframe. What I realised that switch to newer technologies, as it’ll be easier to crack interviews. Data analytics is easiest as you already know SQL you can get interview calls even if you have less relevant experience. In other technologies (java/angular/react) getting interviews with less relevant experience is hard.
Be ready to lie on your resume else nobody is going to call you with zero work experience in any technology. You need to lie at least for 1 year experience.

Many actually, depends on what kind of time you can invest in this,
In increasing order of time investment:
1. React ($$)
2. Angular ($$)
3. AWS ($$$)
4. Data Science and Machine Learning ($$$$)
Dollar sign denotes earning potential here.

I am currently a BA, but there are very less calls for BA jobs, many time billing crunch is there as once brd is handed over to build team, it depends on work flow,
companies wants BA who have worked on their resp. product/tech/domain, domain and industry knowledge/BA knowledge alone is not sufficient.
Earlier had work on mainframe application, so now in dilemma, how to increase employability. Have seen many who are converting to cloud.
Also I think product managers are also paid well in these tech big firms.
Why not go for product manager/owner or you can go for solutions architect aws or even data analytics with python/r as one of your key skills. You already seem to have knowledge on SQL so you can adopt to any of these, and having coding knowledge will be really great for future opportunities, world is moving towards agile, BRD will stay for long, best is to upskill in this down time and move
