I started at Accenture for 125k and now make 575k at Slalom. A more equitable meritocracy which gave me more experience and room to show what I can do. Why wait until some tells you you are ready.
i like to see stories like this! congrats!
i'd do the startup
I feel like 25 days isn’t meaningfully different than unlimited, especially since at somewhere like ACN you’re more likely to take a bunch of half days on Friday off and still book 8 billable hrs than you would be at a smaller firm where you’d actually count that towards PTO.
Same, start up

All 3 look pretty damn good! How many YOE? Technical skills or just PMO?
10 years total but only a little over 2 years in consulting. Have an engineering background but not in tech
I would choose 3,2,1 in that order.
Unlimited PTO means:
Yeah you can take unLimited PTO that you technically didn’t earn or cash out, but hey you can take it whenever you want but just be prepared to get stank eyes when you return and work twice as hard to catch up which means you’ll still have the same net energy +/-
My current firm has been great about it. Took 30 days last year and am on track for 35 this year. It also doesn't count against utilization
Start up since you're at M level. I will assume you are above 30, will or currently starting a family soon or having a partner eventually. Start up path will provide a better WLB or at least less pressure than current/opp 1.
Sounds silly since every job has pressure but that's my 2 ¢.
That's fair and agree with all of your points. Over 30 with a wife and kid. My concern is startups have a rep to really work you as they're trying to rapidly grow, which means worse wlb. There's also the concern of being limited by the customer success title
Customer success is the way to go if you if you want good wlb
negotiate on opportunity 2 to match ACNs base, then take that offer. i feel like you can exit even better from a startup to more pay
Opportunity 2 won't budge on base anymore unfortunately
