How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.
I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

I’d start with your experience manager or a PPMD you can trust to link you up with a forensics executive to get a sense on what we do. I’d also check with HR because I’m not sure if we’ve resumed internal transfers
If you know of anyone in EY Forensics, reach out to them directly to start networking. Even if it’s another Senior they can then connect you with executives. The firm always prefers you’ll transfer rather than leave. Good reviews will help. You can make this happen. Good luck
Grass isn’t always greener, if you catch my drift. I would figure out what is directly causing your desire to laterally move from audit to forensics first. Chances are that the issue you seek to escape is also found in all service lines.
If it’s a matter of utility where you simply want to move for growth, then follow previous comments regarding networking with other Seniors to identify the proper executives.
