Would anyone working at ZS Associates be willing to discuss day-to-day work and type of projects, preferably at the consultant level? Trying to make the switch to strategy consulting and want to see if my background would fit what they are looking for. I would really appreciate any time anyone has, even if it’s just for an email or two.

Many of the project types we work on don't require 40 hrs/week from people. At the associate level, it's typically 1 or 2 at a time. That goes up with increased seniority. I'm a manager and currently leading 6 projects which isn't unusual.
So yeah, it keeps delivery costs down, but that's because aligning someone to a project for 40hrs when only 20hrs are needed would be a waste.
When I heard fractional staffing my immediate thought was that people are on two projects at a given time, which is not great but manageable. However, that number seems to be 3+ when I talked to current employees. That’s sounds really tough
Lower delivery costs

Lower cost for management. Fast paced growth and learnings for employees.
