Why some companies take interviews but don't say anything wheather you selected or not? Specially if they don't select.

WHY??

FL peoples: I signed a lease for a new place to start May 1 as my current landlord sold the unit I'm in. Turns out, the buyer wants to keep renting the unit and asked if I want to stay. Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. For the new lease, I'm still pending full approval from a condo association as I have to do an in person interview. I have paid first months rent in advance. Is there anyway to get that money back?

UPDATE (RE: SoCal Assistant Controller Interview)

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

Need a read on this.

MM shop, inv team role, I did a final round last week (my XXth IV so far) with one of the GPs. I honestly thought it went great. Haven’t heard a thing since though. Recruiter thinks I’m still in it cause of Christmas-Hol.

I had an offer from Company A but joined Company B last week.
Company A had sent joining kit (Mug, tea bags, notes) and Laptop a month ago and last week I received another welcome kit (t shirt, headphone etc).

Does TCS conduct telephonic interviews only ?. There is no email communication at all. First they called and took telephonic interview directly(technical). Then now they called and said there is another telephonic interview at 5PM. Technical again.
