That’s a lot of switching. If you stay with your new company for like 4+ years I will have no questions. If you are looming again lime 2 years yes red flag

Why the quick FAANG rebound? Also it’s not great as you look like a flight risk for older hiring managers, but younger folks probably don’t care as much
Role eventually turned into something that wasn’t a fit, and I wasn’t great at the job. The f200 role is in an industry/role that really interests me.
I’m worried about that too, but I have good reasons for jump 1 and jump 2.
What’s that TC growth looking like?
But nah as long as you stay in your new job for a couple years I wouldn’t be overly concerned. It’s a mercenary market out there.
TC grew massively from jump 1, lateral TC at jump 2 and taking ~10% TC cut at this current job. But the industry I’m going in is notorious for low salaries
Why only 1 year at FAANG?
Commented above, but role eventually turned into something that wasn’t a fit, and I wasn’t great at the job. The f200 role is in an industry/role that really interests me
I am actively pushing back on a senior level hire because they have jumped jobs every 8-14 months for the last 10 years.
We like our senior level people to stick around and this person's history doesn't really show that level of commitment
Ymmv though
I would be ok with 1-2 jumps in three or so years for a more junior employee.
After that - I start to really wonder whether i want to invest in them.
Keep in mind...we are unique in that we pay really well....so I expect people to stick around
