Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? I actually really hate working with chases travel center if something gets messed up it’s kind of a nightmare. Although sometimes you can just contact the airline directly and they’ll take care of it without the need to involve chase travel
It is exactly the same experience as using concur and the Chase portal is actually just a branded version of Expedia
I always book directly through airlines as a general practice and usually transfer miles to their corresponding loyalty program ahead of a flight. Main reason is that in the end its their plane and any changes or upgrades or refunds are much easier to manage directly with them and they have more real time knowledge of seat availability/waitlist status as well.
Tbh for me not worth it because the flexibility is unparalleled when you can work directly with your airline. One of those things you don’t need till you really need it
Always always book directly via airline portal. It’s okay to use websites like kayak because eventually they take you to the airline page and apply discounts but never use the chase portal. I have had so many bad experiences with airlines refusing to be flexible which they otherwise would be if I booked directly from them.
You can move your chase points to the travel partner or airline and book using their points
Chase portal flight: 14,093 points
United website: same flight for 18.3k points
So wouldn’t chase portal make more sense cuz it’s less points?
It does
