I make more as a Staff 1 in Chicago, that’s unconscionable in NYC.
Are Big4 starting salaries in NYC still at $60k? It was the same when I started nearly 2.5 years ago. Definitely low for NYC.
Yea - I started in October and it’s $59K
Curious what first years are starting at. Someone actually had told me 59k
Yes
I am stunned that these are the starting salaries in NYC. I started at PW (before the merger) in 1998 at 55k. I started straight from law school in tax but how is it possible that salaries have not changed very much in 21 years? That is insane.
Wow, that really surprises me.
That’s insanely pretty low for NYC...
B4 give a generous bump if you have a master's and get your CPA thought right? At mid-tier I only got a 2k bump for my masters and a shit bonus for my cpa
Only if you have a masters from particular schools. I have my masters degree but didn’t get the $8k bump to my salary.
Except it only applies to executive and administrative employees....
EY audit first year in NYC 60k
