I had been working as a cashier for less than a month and a customer didn't want to show me his ID to buy cigarettes, I explained that I would literally be fired if I did not look at his ID. I even pointed to the security cameras on the ceiling. He said if I didn't think he was old enough then I was "too stupid to have a job."
One time a guy yelled at me because the cashier at another location asked to see his ID to buy cough syrup. I had to explain that it wasn't personal, we have to scan their cards, and I think it's ridiculous but I'm not willing to get fired over it. Seems like the same sort of customer I think
This old lady who yelled at me for 30 minutes on my first day and threatened to sue me. It was scary, I was only 19 and I just wanted to quit right there and then. Thankfully, I pulled through, and 5 years later, I'm still at this job!
I've had some bad customer support experiences, but the worst one was when I called my cable company because I wasn't getting any channels. I spent over an hour on the phone with them, and they still couldn't help me. They were so unhelpful and didn't seem to care at all about solving my problem. Worst customer service ever!
It was Verizon. I've never had such a terrible customer support experience in my life. The people I spoke to were unhelpful and didn't seem to care about resolving my issue. It was frustrating and extremely disappointing.
It's not one specific experience for me, more of an overall issue, but I can't stand it when people let their kids trash the store and then start yelling at me because I tell them not to. If YOU were watching your own kids, I wouldn't have to!
