Anyone else feel like customers have been super irate lately?

I think that all the economic problem that is coming upsets us all, and we have the habit of unloading ourselves with who we shouldn't.

The world is going very crazy and the most affected are the lower middle class, this makes bad manners emerge and they always treat us badly, I really do feel that the clients are angry, but me too, I think it's time to change jobs.

Hey, I feel the same, they are always angry about everything, and for any minute or two where you can't attend to them, people have become more intransigent, I don't know if it's a post-effect of the pandemic.

I think that just as they train us to be good with customer service, they should train customers to be better customers, I would like all customers to go through the things we go through and thus not take their troubles out on us.

I think that's just the way it goes sometimes. Some days are better than others but people are usually always angrily calling about something

Haven't noticed any recent changes in that regard, but I've been doing this for almost 2 years now so I'm also probably just becoming numb to it

You think Apple did anything recently to piss people off?

Lately? No. Customers have been irate since the dawn of time

Definitely! I have no idea what's going on in people's minds lately. All they do is yell, and it gets tiring when you have to endure this all the time.

YES, definitely. Happens in my line of work whenever prices go up and supply goes down. They don't like being told that the market fluctuates and we don't have one of everything in the back room for "emergencies" like when Aunt Clarice is coming over for dinner and she only likes this one particular type of gluten-free soy noodle.

If I'm being honest, customers are usually a bit irate, I haven't noticed too much of a change recently. People complain about prices but that's nothing new. A lot of people just like to complain, I fall back on my old "I'm sorry to hear that" customer service routine

Everyone is stressed about the economy and worried about the future. We're also out of a lot of products and don't know if they will be on the next shipment we receive or still backordered. So yes, everyone is acting more stressed. It's understandable. Usually the best thing is to let them know that you would be frustrated too in their position, and you really want to help them, it kind of helps them see you as more of a Human than a Company Representative. Then again, some people are just jerks.

With the direction everything is going in, who can blame them. Everyone is broke, stressed, and seeing very little light at the the end of the tunnel. I wish we could all be kinder to each other and remember that most of us are in the same boat.

Name the most ridiculous micro-managing by partners that you experience.

I’ll go first: MP told me that on initial emails, I am always to start with “Hello [name],” but after the initial email, I am not to address her by name again in the same thread. Initial greeting can only be “Hello [name] ” because just first name is too brisk and a “Hi [name]” is too informal. Had a 5 minute, in depth conversation as to why she prefers it this way…
