Wisdom says if you second guess wearing it better not wear it at all.
I wouldn’t. If your team was mostly women who like fashion, I’d say go for it. But a lot of men won’t get it.
Personally when I pick clothes for holiday parties, I go with nice, but boring.
If you’re in non-finance/accounting consulting then yes. If you’re in tax or audit then no.
I’ve seen people in business casual work clothes and even more casual at an office holiday party. The regular work clothes, whatever they are, are fine. Just go thru the motions of showing up, being pleasant, and not drawing attention to yourself.
I would think it's not professional to wear any sort of cropped top if it shows skin to a work event
