Get the offer and then ask more questions or to visit. Ask if the in person time is dependent on infection rates or if there’s a spike or an ill colleague what happens? They may well just be trying to make sure you understand it’s not remote so you don’t live elsewhere or raise a stink when they want you back in the office. It may be quite flexible in real life.
NOPE
I started at a new agency during covid times and it’s certainly not ideal but have built plenty of team culture remotely. This seems dumb. Depends on how badly you need a job, and specifically this job.
If you don’t need a new job and don’t love this place, I would take this as a sign that it is not a good culture fit. Go with your gut. There will be other job offers.
Generally, absolutely not. But, it would depend on if I really need the job, I suppose. I've been asking companies how they're adapting to covid during interviews and any that I don't think have decent protocols, have anyone in an office unnecessarily, have people doing non critical travel or who expect in person training is just a no from me. Covid response tells me a lot about whether they a) believe in science and b) seem to care about their employees (or at least their image enough to give the impression of caring).
No
I would if the terms were right.
At my point in life (current life style, compensation and family situation) I would take that job for $300k and up.
Ask them does that mean that if you go in 5 days a week they will up the salary?
