Yes
Titles are bogus and non-comparable across firms. Money however is objective.

Absolutely. Call me Assistant Mail Room Sorter, as long as the pay is good and the actual work is fine, I'll be happy.
Chief
Take the money over title!
You make what you can out of it.
Learn new skills, up skill, get more responsibilities, increase your value and experience.
I went from “Consultant” managing projects to AC here. 🤷♂️ such is life, I’ll be a “consultant” again in a couple of years 😂
@Bain1 I’m in a similar situation. I joined EY from a small firm with only three titles (partner, EM, managing consultant). Bc of the nature of the team I had so much more experience selling, delivering presentations, conversing with execs, leading projects, etc. but now I’m at EY and I feel like I’m doing the grunt work I never had to do previously (it’s fine, but pay is so much better)
If it makes you feel better, start your own LLC, then call yourself CEO.

And make me ‘Chief happiness officer’
Is this a joke question? Of course you take the money, who cares about what your title says? 95% of the people in my life have never even heard of my company let alone understand what I do or what the roles mean
If you give me a 30% raise you can call me whatever you want
Chief
Well, if you insist..

Yes
For 30% you can call me whatever you want.

$$$$
Yep, I care more about the money than titles. You can call yourself what you want and add a more fitting title on your resume.
“Title” is relative tbh. You see a lot of folks use descriptors instead of the actual title.
