Yes, I would. My husband loves to be social and always ends up being friends with everyone. I know my colleagues and boss would love him. Not sure if he'd want me at his though, I'm pretty quiet and would probably just follow him around the whole time - lol.

Do you think he enjoys the events?
YES! My husband is way more introverted than me. I love bringing him to social events where any kind of networking is involved.

Both work and non work events (like an industry related HH?)
No. I’d rather keep my worlds separated
It’s nothing to do with Citi, I didn’t bring a parter to work events other places either. Same reason I don’t fb friend co workers.
I'm the introvert in my relationship so I bring her to help strike up the conversations. We always have a good time, and it's more time we can spend together since work keeps us away so much.

I once read that you’ll spend more time with coworkers than your SO 🙈

And another thought: is the answer for this different between men and women?
IMO, an added benefit is any guy who might have gotten the wrong idea would meet my SO and back off
It shouldn't be different. I think the benefit you are assuming here is rather sexist. If you have someone who is sexually harassing you, bringing your partner is not the ideal route.
There are many companies that promote family events. Usually family companies. If the event is gracious towards a plus one, then do it. If not, it may make everyone uncomfortable. examine the nature of the event.
