I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

I wouldn't. I have three kids that I don't get to see enough of as is. Weekends are my time to hang with them and reset for the week ahead.
It depends on the work environment. If the attitude at work is bad, a weekend in the woods won't change it. If the atmosphere is good, then a short period of bonding in a social, non-work setting would have some benefits. I'm not into "trust falls" and other nonsense. A retreat should be 75% fun and social interaction and 25% presentation on important issues affect our industry, our company, and our work performance.
With my direct peers that I grind with all week, sure. As some broad strokes company thing, hell no.
I usually don't. I rather spend the time with my family or do my own hobbies I'm more passionate about. I feel like I already spend too much time with coworkers at work anyways.

I would prefer to spend time with my family and friends doing something I enjoy on the weekend.
Now, if this were a travel event and I could somehow turn it into a mini-vacay for my family, perhaps.
