I work in US Tax and had an experience of 3 year. Had got an offer of 14Lpa in another big4,but still don't feel like continuing in US Tax. As taxation is something I do feel like I don't want to make a career anymore, because of work life balance & also as it specialised. Please suggest other option worthy to make a career shift. You guidance will be extremely helpful. My highest qualification is M.com.

Bain & Company Is it truly easier to get in a smaller MBB office?
Have heard a lot for different opinions on these. The logic is that it’s easier because there is a lot of supply in cities like NY, Chicago and SF, but the counter argument is that the offices with less supply are also way smaller and have a lot less demand.

I would be hesitant to join the first. If they are shifting focus there is going to be a lot of bumps in that road. You need a very strong leader with the latitude from the CEO to get it done.
I have stood up two verticals and I can’t imagine shifting the focus of an entire company
Not sure what the likely TC would be at the boutique, but the max absolutely crushes a PL comp. I’d go option 1
Directors have much higher sales quotas; it’s harder to build your network to sell projects etc. I asked my last director this exact question and he said PL/SM since he would be closer to the work. You don’t need to sell and establish a new network at the same time
