I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

At this point, I’d lateral for just about anything that wasn’t a step down in pay.
Titles often mean different things in different industries… require different amounts of tenure, have differing levels of responsibility. (Although the better WFB may insinuate slightly lower responsibility?) I’d just think if it’s a switch you want to make long term - do you like THAT industry, THIS company, THOSE people you’d be working with? If so, do it.
At this point, job security is arguably more important than any of the things you mentioned.
Depends on your circumstances - if you are a new parent looking to slow down pace to spend more time with your kid then the title drop would be worthwhile for the time back.
Still young and looking to grow? I’d say no.
How do you classify young?
Title doesn't mean anything, comp and what it means for your future are way more important.
If you were a Partner at Deloitte and you moved to a Director role in industry, in most cases that is a big step down. If you were a Partner at Deloitte and you moved to a Director role at Google, you might have just doubled your comp.
EY2 you mean the Google one? At Google, Directors are L8 and make $$$$$$
Lower title usually also means lower pay, especially for remote roles.
Yes!
