Hi all, I’ve recently onboarded as an HR recruiter with a small NGO. It has been wonderful so far. I want to make the most of my new role. If you have any suggestions or advise, I’d greatly appreciate it.

How do you recruit for startups? Exhausted from lack of responses from cold networking. What else should I do? I am aiming for roles in early stage startups. Didn’t study or work for long in US so don’t have a strong network.

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

I am currently seeking a role in Consulting, my experience has been in in the intersection of Healthcare & Social Services in both the Private and NonProfit sector. I have a BA in Forensic Psych, an MPA, an MPhil in Public Policy and currently in the last leg of my PH.D in Public Policy with a specialization in Health Policy.

Looking for an entry level non exempt positions. I've been in and out of both food service and retail for years. I know what I'm worth and I know how strong my work ethic is. I do not enjoy having carrots dangling out of reach, preventing me from furthering my career. Seems all this 20 something year olds are getting what I feel I do deserve (no ego). I recently became an Anaplan Certified Level 1 Model Builder and have been applying to a lot of roles. Does anyone have any recommendation on companies to apply to and a range that is suitable with that certification? So far I have applied to the the big four consulting firms and Fintech companies.

Stub year in a free market firm frustrated about hours. Everyone was complaining about being slow last month, but it seems most passed 100 hours and I only got 60. I’ve been doing everything mgmt says to do but I’m making no progress in getting work. I can’t help but think I don’t fit in here and people don’t like me - especially because I went to a lower-ranked school, grew up poor, and am neurodivergent so networking is hard for me. Whole system feels very nepotistic. I just want to give up.

I got selected in Infosys and offer was about to get release today but at last minute suddenly today infy HR told I was interviewed 5 months 20 days before in infosys so they cannot proceed now as 6 months cool off period. I got an offer from infosys for 5.5lpa+75k bonus, & now I have another offer of 7.5lpa+80k from globallogic. I prefer to join infosys as it is in my home town.
But the catch here is I accepted the offer from infosys, can i talk to HR again to revise my offer as I am expecting at least 6.5lpa. I am afraid if they revoke my current offer also. Yoe:1.5y / cctc:3.85lpa

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. My manager continues to ask me to help other teams and do work on other billable projects. I’m sick of it .. and I’m going to explicitly say that no I can’t do it because my hours are taken by the existing project we are doing. Is this appropriate?
