Depends on salary. 60-120k no, 150-300k definitely.
Depends on how you live your life. If you like going out to bars and hanging out with people and all sorts of events then no. But if you were the kind of guy that likes to stay home and play video games on the weekends online then sounds like you’ll be saving huge dough.
No.

Where I live is a big deal (family, community, activities, etc) so there is a point where the money just wouldn't be able to override that regardless the increase. I would quickly turn down an offer to be a millionaire if it meant living somewhere that I would hate.
Yes do it for a few years and save some money then take that offer to a big city for even more comp. You’ll triple your salary in the next 5 years
Depends on what you consider the middle of nowhere.
i live down the street from orchards and wineries
imagine all the fresh corn you can get
No. Moving is a dealbreaker for me. I'm born and raised here, my parents, siblings, grandma, cousins are all here. No amount of money could replace my family.
Yes because no traffic!
I do both. I work remotely and a part-time ranch hand for fun. Focus in regenerative agriculture .
i mean, if when you say the middle of nowhere you’re referring to ohio, then yes because i did that and i love it here lol
You had me until move to the middle of nowhere.
Just to add some context: yes, the city is MCOL despite being in the middle of cornfields
-Salary is range of 130-150k
-I moved to the US 4 years ago, there’s family around where I’m at but don’t see each other often since I moved out.
-I dont go out much, but the thing I’ll be missing much the variety of good food/restaurants I can get if I ever make the move.
So it is a city in non coastal state. Why is that middle of nowhere. So far your description could be Des Moines, Indianapolis Chicago, or a lot of other places. Unless you give more information you are not going to get any real answers from people.
Yeah middle of corn fields is very vague… see I was under the assumption like it was literally an area where it’s massive farm lands.
If you’re in a city you’ll be fine. The food isn’t going to be great but you’ll just have to cook for yourself going forward.
If you want people engagement you’re going to have to proactively join events, churches, non for profits, etc.
