Uhhh, we’ve had some partners leave... 😂
I know quite a few...lateral moves (IBM, PWC..), own consultancy, own start up
Plenty
There are definitely golden handcuffs but whether for performance issues or a better role, yes Partners leave. If you are good enough to make Partner, in the majority of cases you also have a very high market value in industry or to competitors.
I know a partner from Deloitte to IBM
It’s common - partners often bounce when they get a meaty role elsewhere ie c-suite or c-suite -1
It’s not as common as managers/directors bouncing but still happens
Definitely. For family, illness, poor performance.
Our partners leave all the time - it’s up or out even within the partnership.
Agree with M1 partners leave all the time. Do not agree with S2 - consulting to CEO exits are incredibly rare because you have no line experience, but L2 jobs are a great exit
