Attn CONSULTANTS. I know you're in here. I need your input.
I consider my title and role to align to consulting, I just happen to do it in-house for one particular industry/company. I'm a process improvement and project management professional with a decade+ of experience. I can make a mean PowerPoint and analyze big data. But I'm NOT making the kind of money I hear coming out of the consulting firms. Does my work history transfer as competitive in your companies and are you hiring?

PMP Cert question, if anyone has insight: For first time PMP certification, do you have to do a certification boot camp or similar style course? Or, if my employer offers Skillsoft modules that say they count as PMI PDUs, can I just take 35 hours of those courses and submit that on my application?

Hello. I recently got my PMP certification last year, and have been in the events/marketing project side for the last 10 years. I’ve created a lot of my own templates, budgets, timelines, comms, etc. for projects, but does anyone have any templates they’ve found that they love or would recommend? TIA

I’m currently a functional lead that is in charge of a small team of BAs and Testers for an IT implementation project. I currently have 2 years of experience in IT implementation but have an additional 2.5 years in a somewhat related field.

I am working as a technical lead since last 3yrs and got promoted to Sr. Technical Lead in Jan 2022. Currently working in an IT startup in insurance domain. I want to switch to technical project manager role but wherever i see an opening, they need experience as a project manager and pmp and all.
My current company can promote but wont pay much. The calls that i am getting from naukri are also for lead position. No luck from linkedin as well. How can i transit into tpm role.

I’m ready for a career pivot into tech/software (you know, like everyone else). I have a bachelors and masters in engineering (mechanical and industrial) with 7 years of experience. My career background is in product development in medical injection molding. I am also pursuing my PMP right now. I would prefer to not do the boot camp thing as I feel I would be doing entry level work and with my background I would hope I command a higher position and compensation. Any advice is appreciated!

I’m thinking of making a career pivot from Account manager to Project manager. I currently have an Associates in Science. Is it worth it to finish my bachelors (I have a 3 year associates so maybe it’ll just be a year of classes) to get my PMP? Or should I just take the CAPM since I fulfill those requirements? Does the PM world really care ?
