I am a PMP certified project management professional working as supportive PMO in one of the IT firm , i am thinking to take up SAP project system certification , can some one please suggest what would be the scope of SAP PS consultant , would that be a good add on to my resume? Please help with your suggestions!!

Just left the military and got hired at a bank as a PMO Analyst with my MBA/PMP. Looking to get some experience here for ~2 years and then get into Google.

I was just wondering if any one in project management would recommend me getting my CAPM or PMP? If the company paid for it, is it worth it?

I’ve been with an insurance company for almost 10 years in various capacities and ready to make a change - more than likely leaving the organization. Is it worth getting a PMP certification? I have some free time on my hand and thinking about doing the Google PMP, is there any value in this? Don’t feel like going the route of the PMI one 😅 already have a CMAP.

I received a salary increase of 10k because I’ve been promoted to a Sr. Business analyst position. However, I’ve been looking at the market average for the position, and the offer sits very low compared to it (they offer 71K) I’ve been in the company for a year. It is greedy to ask for more? Is a PMP worth it?

Help desired from anyone who made the switch into tech for product management or product marketing management:

Currently an Account Manager/Project Manager at PR Comms agency (1yr) and want to make the switch back to tech.

I have sales (both tech + retail), marketing, social media and account management experience (5 yrs total additional exp). I’m finding I’ll need a PMP or a Product Management cert to “have more experience” to get back in.

Any advice from those who got into tech for PM/PMM?

How do I satisfy the 36 months project management requirement for PMP exam exactly? Like what counts exactly and how do I even prove it? I work as an engineer but I am a lead for multiple small scale projects but since it’s small scale I don’t really have to have robust project scope, charter, plan, etc. So does that actually count or no? If so, how do I even prove it? What are the other requirements beside the 36 hours of pm experience and 35 education hours?

I’m feeling stagnant in my career and looking for ways to grow. I was considering obtaining a PMP certification and wondering how impactful this is. Is this certification well recognized?

Subjectively speaking, (since most of you are already in consulting) but at what point do I just give up and accept my fate that a firm won’t hire me? I’ve gotten conflicting advice about continuously apply to firms bc it makes me look bad when the truth is, I’m coming from an industry that doesn’t have a lateral move. I don’t know which roles “best fit” my experience hence why I apply for different types within the firm. However, I do believe I have the skill set. 2ish YOE. MBA. PMP. Soon CSM.
