I’m hoping to find a project manager or data analyst role to move to in the next six months or so. What certifications or other professional development areas have the biggest impact in your opinion?

I am currently working as an IT Director but looking to make a move to go after better pay. I have experience and certifications to go along with it. But I also have two felonies (a theft of property and drug possession). I turned my life around, got help and now have my Bachelors, PMP, 5 Salesforce Certs, Scrum Master and a few more. These happened in my 20s and it’s been almost 10 years. Any recommendations on companies that would give me a chance with a salary in the 120k range?

I have just started my career in project management and have 2 years of experience. And now I would like to enroll in a distance MBA course. So could anyone suggest me which MBA specialization should I choose that will help me in the career along with the PMP certification?

Looking for some avenues on how to transfer departments. I’m thinking of switching since I received my PMP certification. I’m working under tax department and would like to transfer into project based environment. I’m eager to increase my responsibilities and put my new certification to good use. Or should I look for another opportunity outside of my organization? Thoughts? Would really need some advice.

Hi Members, I am a supply chain professional with 10 years of experience in supply chain operations and program management in ecommerce, telecom and 3PL distribution companies ( in Asia).

I immigrated to Canada 2 years back and worked for one of the top ecommerce retailer for last 1.5 years. I recently lost my job and looking for new job opportunity . I have completed my CSCP and PMP certifications.

Just sitting here remembering the time I moved in with my gay couple friends. I had gone to Napa 2 years prior and ordered some expensive wines from a vineyard that I kept for special occasions and to gift people. one night I was out studying for my PMP and some of their friends stopped by and instead of going to the store they decided to open a bottle of my expensive wine and serve to their bum ass friends without my permission. Senior PM in healthcare IT, with my PMP. I have a promotion coming to Program Manager. What type of salary increase should I expect? I am sure they will lowball me, and I understand there is a wide range. I make 126k now. It’s a lot more work, and I want to make sure it’s worth it. Inflation alone should be a 9% raise 😑

Anyone hiring right now? 5 YOE in consulting (3 years finance performance improvement big 4, 2 years software license compliance for a global software company), PMP certified. Spent the past two years in grad school and as a mental health therapist. Looking to go back to consulting or industry.

Which PMP course do you recommend? One of my employees wants to get a PMP certification and I’m willing to use part of our development budget to pay for it. She’s open to on-demand, DIY classes or live classes. I want to make sure the course we choose is good value. Is there a specific one you really like? I’ve done some research on my own but a lot of them seem so similar that it’s hard to choose!

Hi I currently have a PMP and would like to know what Certs you would recommend?

This is probably a stupid question, but what "level" should I be applying for at consulting firms if I'm coming from the healthcare tech industry as a director? There are so many openings and it's hard to pin down roles without knowing what to search.

I have a master's degree (non MBA) from a T10 school, ~12 YOE in healthcare with payer, provider, and tech companies. 10+ YOE project leadership, 4 YOE formal people management, 1 YOE managing managers, PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, and Lean certs.

Any consultants interested in the PMP? I’m not a project manager but I’m interested in seeing how it can help me run my projects more efficiently.

Good morning, I am a recent under-grad and working as a BI Developer. I’m looking at transitioning to a project or product manager role and I have 1+ YOE. I know the job market is not that great as of now but I’ve applied to countless PM roles and have had no success. I want to know from other PM’s if it’s necessary for me to get a PMP certification before I can get a job or it’s not that of a requirement?

Is the PMP worth it if you’re working as a PM at a creative agency? From what I know, PMP is unnecessary given that no one (that I know of) works with a full Agile/Waterfall process in agencies, but wondering if getting the designation might help me pivot to tech as a PM or product manager later in life.

5 YOE in creative design and marketing with some soft project management experience. I'd like to pivot to PM more officially but my resume does not boast of PM experience. What path did you fishies take to get into PM? Is the PMP certification worth it if I have to pay for it myself and work on it after hours? Single mom of 3.

Haven’t been able to break $110 in comp for MCOL area. Trying to figure out how to boost my salary significantly. Any advice? Cloud certs? Security specific certs? PMP? Salesforce? Interested in cloud and product management.

Working on the PMP. I completed the formal PMP authorized Exam Prep course. Is the practice test within that course sufficient for practicing for the real exam?

Since it’s all covered by my firm, I was thinking of getting some sort of app with practice questions to supplement the official PMI course. Is that worth the time? If so, any recommendations?
