I'm 32F, have 12ish YOE in healthcare/tech, and I'm married with kids. Is it a dumb move to pivot to consulting now?

I have done pretty well in my career so far. I have a master's (non-MBA) from a T25 school, a PMP, Six Sigma cert, and I'm somewhat technical but also great with clients and execs. I'm sitting around $200k TC not including stock options since current company hasn't IPO'd yet. I'm interested in consulting for the variety of work and learning opps, but worried about WLB. Thoughts?

My former employer offered me a job to Project Manage for their entire small company (less than 50 people).
Software Company
I’d be only PM in company & report to CTO, no direct reports.
Manage all projects for: IT(25%), Software Dev(25%), Content Dev (35%), Marketing, other business projects as they come up (15%)
8 years as PM (no PMP) but 5 years direct exp with this industry (former employer)

I'm currently a Technical Project Manager with a Scrum Master responsibility. I have 7+ years in IT within the Financial Services industry with 4 years experience in Kanban/Scrum. About 3-4 years in Project Management. Not PMP certified.
However, I have gotten my Masters in MSIS, PSM I, PSPO I, and ITIL Foundation certifications. Planning to take more this year. Currently living on the east coast/Philly area. I'm looking to understand how much I should be getting paid for salary.
