I interviewed with Uber hiring manager and was told I would be recommended to the next round. It has been a week and I haven’t heard anything. I also sent a follow up on Tuesday to the recruiter and haven’t heard a response. Should I take this as a rejection even though the interview went well?

I’ve been extended an invite to interview for a C12/AVP AML Ops manager role at Citi with 10-15 direct reports. The recruiter asked what comp I was expecting and I tried to wiggle around it without knowing the full scope of duties but ultimately ended with a range of 110-130. She came back with a range of 75-85 which is no since that’s less than I currently make. Is the range given by the recruiter appropriate for the level of responsibility and is this what Citi pays its management?

Interviewed for a role and when I asked the recruiter for the salary range, they said it was proprietary information. 😐

Interviewing for a position - I did a phone screen with someone in HR last Monday and she told me to send her dates and times of availability for interviews with the team. I emailed her immediately that I was available on Wednesday and Friday. It has now been over a week since I emailed her and still have not heard back (sent two follow up emails). What gives?? Even if she is still figuring out schedules, she should still respond back. What should I do if I still don’t hear back?

Would it be unprofessional to say that our department’s (Finance) perks aren’t as good as others in an exit interview? EX: Other departments (marketing and engineering) get gas reimbursed when coming in, free fitness class vouchers, premium office space etc and we get none of the above. Ignore the title I work at a late stage startup now.

What to do if your timing is off at company?
Doing well at my company, great reviews, great relationships. I like the company and my boss but I am not growing in my role. Interviewed internally for a couple things but fit wasn’t there. Now I’m out of synch for many of the roles that would make sense (people stay in roles 18-30 months generally) is it worth it to stay on the off chance someone leaves the company and a spot opens up (and I interview and get it) or start looking externally?

Just had an hiring manager straight out declare that they need several months and ballpark of 30 (!) interviews to hire someone. It’s not even a crazy prestigious firm. In this job market. Thoughts? How can someone be so out of touch? It sounded like a dealbreaker to me considering everyone is interviewing with multiple firms at the moment (at least I am) and I see no valid rationale for that long of a process.

How did people job hunt before WFH? I’m searching around for opportunities now since I feel like I’m not growing at my current job. I had a couple interviews on phone / video (during work hours) but it got me thinking - how did people interview when they were in the office 5 days a week? Did they just bring a tie in their bag and dip out the office before the interview? Or took a personal day every interview?

She said she’ll get back with next steps. It’s been 10 days- no reply. Texted her today on that business no- she read it and no reply. Why would a recruiter do this? What should I do next?

I interviewed with Citi 3 weeks ago (London) and haven’t heard back since. I felt the interview went well. Interviewer told me that I will hear back in a couple of weeks as the entire floor is hiring at the moment and HR is swamped. She said it in such a positive tone/way as well. I emailed HR last week and have not heard back. Is this normal? The wait is gruesome. Not sure if I’ve just been ghosted or if this is normal.

Does anyone have any insight on why Citi’s interviewing hiring process is so slow?

Applying for job at Edward Jones. Got through the first screening and the second step is to do another, more formal app. However it says they want my income information for each job and may require tax returns to prove this. Is that legal?? I’ve never been told I need to provide such information to a potential employer and I’m not comfortable.

Just had a fabulous first interview/screening and I really love what I see so far with this company. The interview process is 2-3 more interviews half hour each, and then a business case analysis I would have to do and present to those three as a panel. Has anyone done a business case/presentation style interview and can you provide any tips or words of wisdom?
