Some personal “doctor appointment days” Some in my car.
Sometimes Id throw a change of clothes in my bag if i go back to work after the interview.

I had a job one time that had a ton of stress and I missed a few dentist/doctor appointments so once things slowed down I booked them and they all fell in <2 months and my boss asked me “I see you’re taking a lot of random time, are you interviewing” at that point I started to.
Honestly, it was a little more difficult. I would try to schedule several interviews on the same day and then would take the day off work to go to the interviews. It kind of sucked prior to wfh and zoom interviews.
Yeah both. Or just book an office or phone booth and take it there.
And FWIW I’m talking about like maybe in 2019. Not sure why is that a surprising thing, even shared work spaces like Wework and Spaces have it.
There are several options, one can interview after hours, the recruiter will usually accomodate (this is what I do for phone screenings and initial conversations with headhunters). Alternatively, you can fake a doctor’s appointment or something similar, have it during your lunch break if you do have one, leave earlier with some excuse, call in sick etc. I think taking the whole day off is excessive unless it’s final round / talking to multiple people. Obviously your boss might as well find it suspicious if all of a sudden you’re never in the office…so it takes some common sense and selecting the opportunities you’re truly interested in
