Does anyone know what I can expect for the case study for a financial analyst role at two sigma?

How do I subtly tell someone that he knows my Dad? I am on the final round of interview with this company I really like and meeting the owner next. My Dad mentioned that they worked together and they regularly go on holidays together. Now, I would hope the owner recognises me, but I know my Dad never mentioned his kids to him cos my Dad is an a**hole. So in case I don’t get recognised, how can I subtly bring it up?

Has anyone ever dealt with changing jobs and feeling like they are not a cultural fit? I’m coming from a mega fund and am now in a smaller shop (greater role responsibilities). Does anyone have advice on how to improve this feeling? I felt like I was a fit on the interview but certain things have worried me as I’ve been here.

An HR set up an interview without asking for my availability. I told him that I couldn’t attend it as I had a meeting and provided him with some times that worked for me. He rescheduled the interview to another time that wasn’t included in my availability slots. I work from 9 to at least 5 and asked him if it was possible to schedule something from 16:00/17:00 but he didn’t respond. What should I do? Is it common to schedule interviews without firstly asking if it also works for the interviewee?

In NYC, just graduated with a BBA in finance & have 1 year experience as a billing analyst doing expense reporting for a non-profit. I have a family member who can get me an interview at her advertised company doing yield mngt. She leads a team and makes 6 figures. I would start at 70k as an analyst with high potential for large increases every year or two.

Is it a good idea to go into go into this field or would a financial analyst career be more rewarding?

I have been extensively interviewing with a bank and I believe we might be approaching the offer stage but we are not formally there yet (I have interviewed with the whole team incl. hiring managers but never spoke to HR until now). They are now asking for proof of compensation at my current employer - I do not mind since I am paid street but I still find it somewhat invasive. Is that normal for them to ask? We have never discussed money before (they did not ask for my salary expectations)

Had an interview with KPMG (manager) for an FRM Consultant position about three weeks back, she mentioned that I'd be a great addition to the team and is excited to work with me but I haven't heard back anything since. On contacting HR I got the standard "we'll let you know" response.

I am currently a a senior analyst in a relatively niche team (think restructuring / credit) and am considering a career move from banking to consulting to open up opportunities away from private credit and direct lending. I am not particularly fussed by moving to buyside (atleast at this stage in my life) and aim to start my own something once I have saved up sufficient capital. I have an interview with an MBB firm coming up and wanted to get the sense of total comp for senior associates.
