In the process of interviewing for a strategy/Corp dev position at an activewear/athleisure company and they want me to think of a couple tangential industries that may have companies for acquisition and do a write up. I’m stumped on what else an activewear company would buy besides other activewear companies. I can only think of home fitness (Lulu’s Mirror) or vitamins/supplements. Any thoughts?

Hi, I have a case study coming up for an M&A generalist manager position. Already done partner and director interviews. Does anyone have any experience with "Do a quick back of the envelope analysis to calculate the companies FCF profile" or anything else to expect from an information memorandum?

How do you guys prep questions to ask the interviewer? Any good/thoughtful questions you can share?I am interviewing for an FP&A role at bulge bracket. I always struggle when it comes to “do you have any questions for me?” part.

Any advice on where a branch manager should look to transition out of retail? I’ve been interviewing for business banking/commercial lending but keep running into roadblocks because of my lack of experience with credit facilities over 150k. Salary has also been an issue as I’m currently earning 108k as a branch manager. My bank does not offer series 6/63 licensing. Any advice helps!

Anyone else feel like they’re having difficulty getting the job or even getting the chance to be interviewed for a job they’re more than qualified for just because you didn’t go to a US University/College?

Need help on offers. I was offered ALM analyst a position that is $60,000 salary plus 15% bonus a year and I accepted it. I would relocate to Pennsylvania. The company seems excited to get me started.

I later got an offer from another place that pays $72,000 salary plus $3,000 bonus. This is in Florida. I applied for this company several months ago and have been going through the interview process. This job seems more appealing to me, but I already accepted the PA one. What do I do?

Hi all! I have been interviewing for new roles. I have been getting interviews, however in multiple interviews I have gotten negative feed back because I was a police officer for about 3 years. I have investment banking, finance, private equity, startup, and sales experience. For whatever reason, I have had multiple recruiters/hiring managers say they were not comfortable with my experience as a member of law enforcement. I awards / accommodation for my time as an officer. Any tips to overcome?

Those who do financial modeling at work: for case study in interviews, is it bad practice to submit a model based on a premade template, assuming that I understand all formulas and incorporate my own reasonable assumptions? I recently interviewed with a large bank and the recruiter gave me a call 2 days ago to confirm my salary to put into the offer and asked who I will be bringing with me to relocate (so they can estimate my relocation expense I think). It sounded like an offer, but I don't trust anything unless it's in writing via email/mail. How long should I wait to ask for an update on the job? This is making me super anxious. Accepted an offer at a regional bank, at-will employment. Jr most role in structured products but hiring manager was keen to hv me on board, new area to explore.
Got a call from a british consulting firm, they're ready to offer me a role one level up from what i interviewed for, the pay would be 30pc higher than at the bank, it's in nyc, won't have to move. It's rltd to perf analysis for various funds, aligns somewhat with my previous exp as a pensions consultant. How should i make a decision?

My firm’s policy requires a minimum tenure in current role before interviewing and switching to another internal role. I’m in interview processes with other firms for the role I want, but would prefer to do that role at my firm. Is there a way to negotiate with HR about this? I understand I’d have more leverage with a final external offer. But I worry by then I’d not have time to secure internal offer by the time the external offer deadline comes. How would you approach?
