How long do you wait to follow up after an interview? Do you recommend a 2nd follow up if you don’t hear back after the 1st?

I'm leaving my first job and I'm just realizing I don't know how to write a resignation letter.

It's really funny to me.

I spent so much time learning how to write cover letters, resumes, prep for interviews and in my 2 years of working, it never clicked that I'll be writing a resignation letter...I'm sorta excited 😊.

If you're given a general ledger statement, a bank statement, and a schedule of investments for a case study interview, what questions are you likely to be asked? Any advice on how to get into the sales side of Investment Banking? I have above average experience, have a finance background degree but keep failing the initial application stages (before the interview stages) and then watch people on LinkedIn with less experience get roles with top banks. I understand that I need to figure out how to get past the application tracking systems but it can be really frustrating at times and advice online is often very generic (I.e. tell them about yourself).

Went through 3 rounds of interviews for a fin.analyst role at a relatively big consulting company. After the superday, they rejected me by saying im overqualified, won’t be challenged enough. I think it’s total crap. Have an offer for an FA role at a small firm, that’s primary focused on L&H insurance in NYC but not too excited.. (graduating this week, Ugad finance). How do you usually deal with rejections or having to take the job you don’t like?

Unsure about what to do.. worked as an analyst out of school for $60K 2017-2019. Left after 1yr due to a toxic work environment & to care for my grandpa who had cancer in 2019. Was out of work for 2 years & now have an offer in accounting for the government at $40K. Should I take it because any job is better than nothing or should I keep interviewing & wait for something more aligned with my goals & salary expectations. Hi, I managed to score a case study interview for Analyst/Senior Analyst role at M&A Transaction Services at Deloitte in Australia. Anyone has any idea what’s the case study format might look like? I heard it is a lot more technical than consulting case studies. Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
