Does anyone know the differences between investor relations at a PE/private debt firm compared to a HF? I have an interview coming up this week for IR analyst role, all comments appreciated! My main understanding is private capital raises more in cycles for funds while HF fundraising is almost perpetual.

What are your thoughts on resume gaps? My work environment is extremely toxic right now and I feel like I can’t wait until I have something else lined up. The entire experience has had such a negative impact on me that I feel like I need to recover mentally and emotionally before I can even think about applying elsewhere. I’m thinking 3 months tops. How much harder will getting a job be?

What type of questions to expect from finance guy ( ex product controller), third stage of interview with department head?

I want to go into mortgage underwriting, but I'm having difficulty landing a position, let alone an interview. I have roughly 5 years of mortgage experience. 4 in sales and a little over a year in operations. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Im trying to interview for investment banking positions right now but for some reason I always pass the first round but never clear the final round interviews. Why is this the case? I’m not sure what it is I’m missing at this point and I’m scared that no matter how I prep it’s something I can’t rectify as it’s out of my control (my core personality, limitation of intelligence, etc). Anyone have any advice?

I had a final interview 2 weeks ago and followed up today to see where the team was at in the process and didn’t receive a response. Can’t tell if this is a good sign or a bad sign. Felt like I’d be told either way if I got the position or not though. Thoughts?

How long should you wait before reaching out if you dont hear back from an interview? I was interviewing for a Junior front office role. Did round 1 with a director. And then round two and three with two different MDs. I felt like they all went very well. But my last one was over 2 weeks ago. I would assume they would let me know regardless considering I went to 3rd round interviews. Should I bother reaching out and asking? Or just wait it out?

Why would recruiters ghost a candidate after interviews? Would it be so hard to group bcc a rejection email?

I’m currently w/a firm in FL, but completely WFH. I am interviewing with a company and have heard from insiders (not the hiring team) that every new hire only receives “met targets” rating at year end (hiring team won’t confirm). As someone who tries to go the extra mile, I can’t understand why a company would deliberately restrict performance ratings in this manner. (I would always try to get an exceeds targets or exceptional rating in the past at my current employer and have been successful each time). Does this policy make any sense?

Hello everyone, so a little bit of an odd question. Work for a bank (MUFG)and we are being acquired by another much larger bank( us bank, who I worked at before going to my current bank) We have been told that we will be kept on, however they are unsure of where we will end up. I saw on the US bank’s website a job that interests me.
My question is how do I go about applying for that job while still employed by my current bank? Is there a procedure for how I should go about this?

Hi guys, I joined a small consumer goods company as a corporate development manager just under a year ago. I don’t really manage anyone and other than working with the CFO to get a $600M revolver and a couple of failed minority sale process, I’ve been glorified FP&A. How do I present this on my resume when looking for other opportunities? Should I change my title to associate on my resume when applying for jobs? Before this I did two years of regional boutique IB.
