Yeah, the thing is I think I would like to take on a financial analyst/FP&A role long term. This job and company was pretty sweet though (fortune 250). But idk felt like I would get pigeon holed in audit for a while if I eventually got/accepted the offer.
Right choice or fuck up*
You fucked up big time.
I mean you would just be leaving Audit for Audit so yes their are better opportunities if you stay longer.
B) I feel it would look sketchy taking a day off in the middle of a busy week, and c) I feel like there are better opportunities after senior. Did I make the wrong choice or fuck up?
Is it a client you work on? Chances are if it is, you didn't fuck up and you'll still have connections there
I do not work on that client, but they are a client of my office/market team.
During the phone interview I spoke to the director of internal audit and he had really positive feedback and seemed excited about bringing me in. Just hope I didn't burn a bridge.
People take days off in the middle of the week all the time
Declining a job position is never a burned bridge, especially not at the staff level. Assuming you did it professionally.
