I have accepted an offer for the role of Director of Data Science & Analytics and I'll be working with old colleagues. I am very excited. I haven't given notice yet because I am waiting for the background check to complete, but my boss just asked me about traveling to a meeting in November. I start at the new job Oct 25. I'm really struggling for how to respond. If I were not leaving it is absolutely a meeting I should be at. I don't want to respond with a lie. Any dvice on how to respond?

What aspects would you look at when interviewing a person for a Manager position?

I’m a Hispanic woman on my team ( 8 years industry experience with managerial experience ) and have been in my role for 1.5 years . A white male on my team (4 years industry experience no managerial experience) with under a year at the same level got promoted over me. I have helped him with everything and constantly providing him with feedback and direction on what to do . Do I bring it up to senior leadership? Or just let it roll off my back and continue to do my job and hope I get noticed ?

What do you find is the biggest difference between the AAE role and AE in terms of roles and responsibilities?

I have created Algorithmic Product/System for the client to take out inventory not-in-demand for long time to save storage expense and also provide an approach to prioritize Work Orders based on Market Demand. It’s more like an Manufacturing Plan. I want to get into Product Analyst/Lead role. What approach I should take? Any books to start with? Any events to attend? Any groups to join?

I’ll be promoted next year to senior but I’m in a niche role where I don’t see myself long term. Should I make a job switch now or should I wait to get promoted to senior? I currently have 1.5 years of experience.

Currently interviewing at JPMorgan in their CIB division for a associate operations role. Have met with 5 people for two different teams and another person for another team, all of which I believe are 3 total open positions for 3 different teams. Any insight on the interview process or how long it takes or any sort of idea to give me on what I could look for that might help me believe I might get an offer? Checked my online application again recently and still says “In Consideration”

Thoughts and best practices on sharing examples of strategy work to a hiring manager at an agency under the same holding company as my current agency? How much should I blind the work? What are some rules to remain legally compliant? Or should I avoid altogether?

If you do two years as an analyst at one bank is it possible to lateral into an associate position at another, or would you be an analyst again? Not at a good enough platform to get into the type of Buyside roles I want. Unsure of next steps.

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?

I’m a Geoscientist by profession and have been working at big tech for half my career - the other half in Geosciences - i think i have a brilliant plan for the next best thing in Geosciences and have a working proof of concept already - how should one go about this?
