I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Might be a stretch but thought it might be worth mentioning.

Hi guys! I work as a software engineer and the work is very easy, I’m somewhat bored. I have family in FAANG, and I’m looking to get into it for the $$ and hopefully to work on new technologies.

Hi everyone. I’m a front end software engineer. I’m interviewing next week for a solutions engineer at a company I really like, which I mistakenly applied for as I saw they needed ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. Upon reading the job description, it’s clear I will be doing a lot of sales and client consulting over actually coding. I know they have a FE SWE role open. How would you approach asking the recruiter if there are any SWE openings I could be considered for instead ?

Young professional with 3 years of retail banking experience, 1 year of claims experience, and now roughly 6 months into insurance sales. My background isn’t in marketing/branding/PR but I’m being thrown into an engagement for a small organization who has many different sub-brands. I now how to give them high level guidance on how to ensure their branding and message is consistent. Any resources/books you’d recommend I could crash course this on?

I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.

Starting salary for senior in accounting advisory out of NYC (EY FAAS/Deloitte Accounting and Reporting advisory)? Just got an offer for both

Has anyone heard of Lurie LLP I’m seriously interested in their private client service/wealth advisors

Accounting advisory big4 or IA at F100. Both senior roles. Roughly same base pay.

Big4 has clear trajectory and interesting work.

F100 has 14% bonus, perm remote, and immediate vesting 401k over 7%.

What would you take?

Living in my parents house, which NEEDS a makeover. What do you guys do to make your house look cozier? My parents house is tiny, low ceiling, and no seperate on between kitchen and the living room. It literally looks like a grandma house.

AWS Developer -Deloitte USI - 15fixed + 0-10% Variable + 4LJB (retention bonus) 2. Sr security Analyst - AWS IAM - Sony India software centre - 17.5fixed + 3L Variable. Im very much interested in AWS Developer role but scared of WLB at Deloitte. Sony have a very good reviews and pay also better only concern here it is cloud security and limited to only AWS IAM.
