I have been on a planned personal sabbatical this year pursuing personal interests. Now I’m ready to go back to work. I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. In addition to having relevant experience and accomplishments handy, I would appreciate any pointers for having a good interview at this level.

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). What is the typical base salary and bonus potential for compensation consultants at the senior associate level?

I am a Sales Executive with over 16 years over experience with FedEx. During the Pandemic I took a risk and moved to a different industry. Unfortunately my new company was greatly impacted by the pandemic and on Thursday I lost my job due to downsizing.
I have a great track record of success and sales awards in every position I have held. I also have an MBA.

This individual has a doctorate in business with a focus in HR, her SPHR, Federal, and private sector experience at the singer level, and has a fabulous personality. I’m curious is anyone else having difficulties play some candidates like this? At this point I’m starting to think it’s racial or her sex based of the lack of interest in this candidate. Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

2 part question:

- Does anyone know who Accenture uses for their 3rd party background checks?
- If i allow them to contact my current employer, do they still ask for W2’s and Paystubs?

Experience sharing on calories deficit -
I have a normal body build but want to lose a few pounds(especially around my belly). I am making visible progress now by eating less(work gets busy and I use that to forget about hunger), a lot of walking, have casein protein to feel less hungry. Diet is really what do the trick.
But there are drawbacks too - my energy level(especially around night time) drop significantly that the level of exercise I used to do feels hard (light/mid intensity)

Serious question from a happy software engineer, what do you all love about your work/actually enjoy doing during working hours?

I'll start; I'm privileged enough to have been given the opportunity to work and learn deeply on Linux and Kubernetes, and I get to tinker and play with them all day. Problem solving with them is a "fun" part of my job.

Of course most things aren't roses and sunshine, but I'd love to hear the positive parts of what you are doing, or what you like to do at work.

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I’ve got a toddler and my wife is an accountant (industry), and we only have a few immediate family in the country- but they have health concerns. Busy season was rough, things are looking better now as things return to normal. Still working crazy hours if you count the daycare duties on top of utilization targets.

My brother is going through some really intense chemo so him and his wife are often recovering at their house for a week without going out.

Since they can’t take any visitors I would love to send them some sort of at home activity kit (wine tasting or anything!) to keep them busy during these lockdown weeks.

Please share any suggestions you have below! No limits in terms of activity or budget. I have about 8-9 weeks that I plans to cover.
