Moving out of IT consulting to Product Management side in the next couple of weeks.
The new company I will join is an e-commerce division of a leading food retail group.

Any suggestions about books/ videos that I can access to learn the basics of the product side?

Anyone from Bain: can you comment on the local model? If you Qatar in Financial Services for example, can you stay in Ny. I like consulting, but not a huge fan of the travel.

I find myself struggling the explain things with the same eloquence as my colleagues. How can I improve my consulting speak? Any recommended books?

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. I recently sign a lease. The apartment will put my security deposit into an interest-bearing account and requires me to fill out a form W9. I will join EY this June and just wondering if this is ok in terms of the independence rule. I guess the apartment will put my deposit in some sort of funds. Anyone with EY has experience? My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? Or is that supposed to be our non-billable time?
