Anyone else feel like work/billable hours gets in their way of taking care of their life? Hate having to choose between working to keep up with billables and taking care of my life whether that's the gym or whatever else. Feel like I never have enough time for both.

Hi friends, I am reading this book ‘radical cander’ and was wondering if you have Fav way/ example of receiving and giving tough feedback? Or have any stories about feedback that have stuck with you through your career.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Firm announced flexible come and go as you see fit approach to coming back to office. Partner I work for said I need to be in office 4-5 days a week anyway. Thoughts?

I just found out I am pregnant and the person is not a believer. I know i have sinned, and now i am so lost. Abortion has crossed my mind multiple times. Not sure what i am doing posting here, I just needed to vent.

So here is my dilemma:
- based in the UK
- opportunity for lateral internal move (culture&engagement) or stay where I am (reward). I am mid level IC struggling to progress due to flat structure so considering lateral move then hopefully up from there.
- 2 primary aged children, currently have flexibility in current/new role too
- Husband just got accepted on a international rotation which means I will be single parent for the short term.

What to do? Go with the unknown or coast comfortably?
