Working PA for the first time this year. Doing a lot of returns right now.

History of my firm: small (7 employees, two interns), was a single CPA show for 20 years. Cont.

First-year tax staff that started end of Q3, and just had my first year-end performance evaluation meeting. Still a blank slate in terms of tax experience, but I honestly do have a slight interest in international tax. Brought it up and I was given some names to find some work opportunities in that area. Besides SALT, any other specialized areas I should try to get some experience in? Also open to any tips and tricks to help tailor my workflow and experiences for the months to come.

Have three offers from Shell, BP and Airbus for IT service delivery role.

BP: 23 Lpa + 1L joining bonus with 1 year lock in ( location : pune)
Airbus: 26lpa + 5 L joining bonus with 3 year lock in( location : bangalore)
Shell: 26 lpa ( final offer being rolled out)location : bangalore

Please advice which company would have a good growth story and work life balance....

Airbus looks attractive but have heard some very harsh reviews on work life balance.

I need to understand hierachy in Optum. I got an offer from Optum for senior consultant ( grade 28). What will be the hierachy after senior con in Optum?

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

I have recovered from Corona Virus. Its 6 weeks now and I can tell you that the after effects are real. I have anxiety that I will never get over the fatigue, brain fog, inability to form sentences and words and headaches which make my work days very difficult to get thru.

Is there an uberpool version of chartered private jets? With this summer openings and travel restrictions lifted, domestic flying is going to be a massive hassle and aiports overcrowded. Wondering if theres a way to fly with smaller jets and smaller more private terminals by splitting costs among 8–12 people

My BGV in Oracle has been completed on 8th March. I have received offer letter but it doesn't have joining date. Hiring Manager has given me verbal joining date of 17th March. Is there any portal where I can check my joining date?

I have 9 years of overall experience and past 2 years with Oracle, I am in SAAS based apps, Recently I got 5 rating in the appraisal and Manager asked what is the number you are expecting ?
Any idea what to quote either percentage / LPA ?
