I was in a similar situation (2 years left) and I took the risk. They did keep their promise. Since you have 3 years left I would explore the new opportunity. PWC is notorious for not sharing I140 details so switching might get difficult after it is filed.
I think you should take the offer. I was in a similar boat. All my friends who left for EY got their process started in the same year that they joined the firm. Just get the recruiter to send you something in writing. I believe EY does the GC in waves. So the next wave would be in September I think
Are you in a central region? I am also in the same boat. I have PERM approved but I wanted to join EY. Did EY started in 6 mos your GC?
Just wait for 180 days and don’t trust new company’s promise of filing gc

Is the competitor EY?
Hi EY7 - what you mean? You restarted the PERM with the new employer?
Since you are only at I140 stage, even if you move to new employer after 180 days, you will have to restart the entire process while keeping your priority date. You will most likely not get the automatic extension on your H1B at new employer until you clear the I140 stage there. Since you have over 3 years remaining on your H1B, you should look at this situation from opportunity cost standpoint. Will you get the same offer after 6-8 months? If yes, stay with your current employer if not, join the new employer and hope that they start your GC in 6 months.
This is not true, OP can use I-140 from Pwc to get H1-b extension at EY.source i have been doing this for few years now. still using prev company’s I-140 to get H1-b extension.
Op, I’d suggest atleast get I-140 filed from Pwc and then switch to EY. Generally companies don’t revoke i-140 even if you don’t complete 180 days.

Wait, plus. One time salary jump doesn’t mean you’d have the same thing next year. Chances are your salary would stay somewhat flat until you are promoted.
Wait - EY will always be hiring!
6 months seem pretty far out but I’d ask at least. Say your immigration depends on it (kind of)
Thank you everyone for your inputs. I am trying to get a written confirmation from EY if they could file my GC at a specific time frame (They did say there are quarterly batches and they would add mine in the immediate batch upon joining).
They started mine after 3 months at Protiviti although they don’t hire visa sponsorship candidates anymore or even if they hire they are very few.

Wait, if your are ROW, get both I-140 and green card from your current employer. You never know what the immigration law will be when you are trying to start afresh with the new company. As someone mentioned, whether you move now or after 180days, you still have to start the entire process from start while keeping your priority date.
Bro , if you like your current job just stay and get the process done .
Yea but there doing i140 in premium . So stay there
Sorry I’m not adding any insights here, but I have a question for you OP - how did you request premium processing for I140? Pwc Law just filed my I140 in regular route, and it’s been 8 months but no approval yet..
P2, this is something I talked to recruiter even before I accepted the offer. Hope this helps. Also, you can always ask your recruiter to upgrade to premium since it’s been so long
50%! Take it!!!
How are they filing in premium when your visa ends in 2024, are you self sponsoring in premium?
You shall move only when you get you PD. The entire process from PWD to PD is more than 20 months now. So stay and move after you get your PD
