Can someone at PwC and Strategy& explain the Associate to Senior Associate promotion? It seems like some people get it and some people don’t after 2 years unlike other firms where the promo is daily automatic.

I am feeling hopeless. I’m a tax senior been through 4 busy seasons with Deloitte. The tax I’m in is pretty niche and I kinda wanna leave tax all together since I wanna start a family and personally can’t do it with another busy season. I don’t know who is willing to hire me because I feel pigeonholed. I’m just hating every moment with this firm right now. Any advice on what positions/companies might be best to look into?
