I recently moved to a new company. As I get access to all the systems, I noticed that I have access to HR function (peers, managers) data within the HRIS system and other sources. I am not planning to look at the data but I'm concerned that peers can see my compensation, etc., if I can see theirs. At the company I came from, HR data was extremely safeguarded and restrictive within our systems. Is this something I should bring up to my manager?

As a salesperson I generally take the approach of keeping my opinions to myself, if a customer asks me something directly I'm not going to lie to them I'll share what I believe in a respectful way. In other words I don't try to force my views on anyone, but lately our world seems to be more and more polarized on everything, and everyone is offered just by knowing you don't share the same views as they do they can't imagine their opinion isn't the only one. How are you handling these situations?

Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.

Would my bosses let me move to work in a different state? I work as an internal consultant within KPMG, working for the firm within the internal HR team. I have been with KPMG for 5 months but I am wanting to move back home to be with my family - on the other side of the country. There’s only a 2 hour Timezone difference and I’d make sure to work on current time. My line manager I report to lives in another state to me anyway - and it seems to work well for her. So far my solutions are high mpg vehicle to maximize profit on the 57 cent per mile standard and the American Express Hilton Honors credit card to gain points after the company reimbursement.

I’ve been tasked right off the bat with implementing Facebook Workplace as an engagement/communication tool. I looked it up and seems fairly easy, especially as a facebook user. But as with anything it can be a challenge to get employees to actually use/check it. So-- does anyone have experience with Facebook Workplace? I’m getting more compelling recruiter emails now that companies aren’t as tied to markets, and are more open to permanently-remote employees.
