At law firms that restrict their lawyers’ personal securities trading, how are those policies enforced?
You ever saying something stupid in front of a partner and can’t stop thinking about how he/she probably thinks you’re a dumbass? No? Just me?
Is there a huge difference in workload between V50 firms and a smaller national/larger regional firm? I realize this is highly specific to each firm but want to know if there is a pervasive trend.
Anyone work in a different office from the majority of the other attorneys in their practice group (i.e. very infrequent face time)? Any tips for success?
I am curious - I have an opposing counsel that sends provocative or incorrect emails related to our case late night (eg 11:00 pm Sunday Night, 1:00 am) and does not consider the timing (nor the content) of his emails to be inappropriate - what do you think about lawyers that send late night emails- are they indicative of incivility? Unprofessional? - how best should this behavior be handled.
Any advice on exploring career options within law? Current corporate biglaw, I enjoy my firm but hate the 24/7 fire drills that come with firm life. I don’t know if in-house would get boring over time. No idea what to work towards anymore.

Long-term Big Law attorneys who haven't succumbed to burnout: how do you cope with working virtually everyday? I already eat healthy and exercise. I just want to know what I can do to ensure that I am able to maintain my velocity. My days have blurred together at this point from working everyday. My billables are great (+/- 200 hours/month). I'm getting good reviews. I just don't want to end up burning out in a year or two. Thank you!
