I’m looking for an outside sales rep in Milwaukee for a SaaS company. My top rep last year cleared $800k before stock. If you know of anyone or think you’re a good fit, let me know!
I have an offer for $200k fulltime or $150/hr contract role. I know $150/hr is way more but is the risk of contract not getting extended worth it? (I can get on my wife's health plan)
I want to request feedback (I am a staff 1 about to roll off my first busy client and feel now would be the time) but I hesitate to seem “weird” or “uncool” to those above me. Is this a valid (cont.)
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Any strategies or resources you could recommend for getting rid of the dreaded annual performance review (or at least lessening the dread) and creating a more effective year round performance feedback system? Our review is currently tied to our end of year bonuses and merit increases, so not sure I could get rid of it entirely. This would be for hourly and management employees, all working on-site.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Serious question. At my firm, I am a experienced manager in audit, north eastern area. My salary is a bit embarrasing. I am thinking of switching to other firms, but would like to get an idea of what other firms pay at my level. Just curious to those willing to help.
Are certs from Harvard Extension School worth the cost? Disregarding the intangible value “Harvard” brings on ur linked in profile?
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Hey guys! Our teammate is going through a pretty tough time, I wasn’t sure if this would be appropriate to post, but seeing as though this is a sales group, and my man Braxton is a sales beast... I thought I could try posting and apologize later. If you can give please do, if you can share please, if you can pray please, please do. We’re so close to getting his expenses covered, and after all he’s done to show up to our team.. I’m trying to show up to him in my fullest capacity. Thank you!!
You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
RSM Chicago... Opinions on tax vs audit ?
anyone have Creative recruiting ideas?
If I had to tie down the exact reason I don’t like my job, it’s working with PPMDs and senior managers who expect that the work place has not changed one bit since they were young staff and seniors.
Does anyone here work directly for their counselor/coach? i.e. your counselor/coach is your manager/senior manager?
I passed GAAS in the audit room 😳
Tough question to ask, but who has benefitted the most from the pandemic? Eg SaaS as a category.
I don’t understand what’s the point of trying so hard at EY when you’re told during your comp talk that you’re “in line with your peers” when you’ve done two busy seasons and much more ...
Im really struggling. Every day I'm on the verge of a complete mental breakdown. I'm always working, yet I'm always behind on hours. I feel like I'm digging deeper and deeper in the hole with no end in sight. I know firm life is not for me, but I need the money and don't want a gap in my resume. Im thinking I want to go in-house, but it could be a year before the right job comes along. I'm just so tired. I don't know if I can hold out that long. Anyone facing a similar situation or have advice?

My girlfriend and I really want to take vacation in early May but since I'm writing the CFE this year, would it be advisable to bank those days for studying? How much time do we get off to study?
How long is the normal interview process at industry tax position? Possible for a firm to wait for me if I have visa issue and need to postpone onboarding for a few months?

Any of you wonderful creative ladies on an O1 visa? My process has me incredibly anxious and I need to know some success stories.
I often find my work cut down by partners. The part that gets cut down normally is what I consider to be the best part - the part that would change one's mind or one that would answer a question in client's mind. Does that mean I need to improve my writing? Or would I become a plain vanilla by "improving"? A quote comes to mind - all good writers write alike, but all great writers write differently. I don't claim to be a great writer, but wouldn't want to undermine the potential.
What’s up with MBB pushing up their undergrad recruiting cycle to the summer / having two application deadlines? what inspired this? and what are the implications?
