Aside from just time and experience, is there anything I can actively do to advance in my career and get more responsibility / client interaction? I’m a first year

Any advice on direct contacting hiring managers for a job you want? I get that in theory it’s the same as selling anything but for people who’ve done it before what did you do, and how did it work out?

Any idea how to plan for an amazing Reward Statement/strategy? We want to communicate what we have more effectively! What tools, formats, companies do you follow and any suggestions on where to start?

- If i allow them to contact my current employer, do they still ask for W2’s and Paystubs?

Hi HR Professionals! I am revising our current employment application form. Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. For those who completed their SHRM certification this year (CP or SCP) and opted for self study, what study materials did you use to prepare?

I’ve worked in sales for 12 years (8 years retail sales and management, 4 years inside tech sales and management). I’m feeling the burn and looking for something else in the tech field. I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? 2020 grad M&A/PE Associate in LCOL area thinking about moving to a ECVC/M&A boutique. I generally like the work I do and the people I work with, but I really don’t like the hours and the constant late nights and weekends. Currently on pace for 2250. Boutique I have been eyeing has billable hour requirement of 1500-1600 and comes with a 20-25% paycut. Is this a stupid idea and should I grind it out until I can move in house? Will this ruin my opportunities down the road?

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !!

SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

Does Google value FAANG experience over consulting? Say if a person is trying to get into Google from Apple, will it be considered easier?

How do I negotiate for a higher starting level? I have 5 years of experience and they told me I would be either L4/L5 but now I’m hearing it’s between L3/L4. I love google and I want to work here but I don’t think I could come in at L3. This is for SWE and onsites went very well
