2. I was at the mortgage company for about 7 months, but did very well in that short time. Originated 1MM+ in my first full month producing and created meaningful, lasting relationships with clients — also want to note this was done in a very difficult market. I say this because while my sales skills are present and I have a Bachelor’s in Finance, I do not have the best employment record (this is why UBS ultimately rescinded their offer). It really has been difficult to bounce back from it, but I’m looking for any firm that isn’t NWM or a 100% commission based to give me a chance at proving myself in a Training Advisor role and eventually be placed within a Wealth Management team. Currently studying for my SIE and eventually want to pursue my 66 and 7 when sponsored.
Recently found a role at Wells Fargo which ticked all my boxes and on top of that was looking for MLO experience, but I want to start a meaningful career ASAP as I’ll be 24 in December with nothing to show for it.
If you are aware of any opportunities that sound like they’d be a good fit, please let me know.
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Why did UBS rescind your offer? What state are moving back too?
Figured as much, but I appreciate your willingness to help nonetheless. I do have family in NYC right now so I could make the jump if necessary but finding an apartment right now, from what I’ve heard, is a nightmare.
There is one internship experience on my resume that was unpaid but gained good prospecting/sales experience from, which other employers in the past have had trouble verifying. Wondering if that could be it.
Is UBS rescinding offers for financial reasons?
No, I don’t believe so. It was due to an inconsistent employment record, or maybe a bad referral that I included. Exact details they still haven’t shared with me.
Wow. That is awful. This was before or after you accepted? I feel like this should be some sort of breach of contract.
