Hi All, I have 3.5 yrs of experience in Product Management and I'm interviewing at JP Morgan chase for Senior Product Manager role and Product Manager role, for Seattle Location. What kind of salary range should I give for each role when the recruiter pops up this question? JPMorgan Chase

JPMorgan Chase recently introduced a policy change to increase the notice period to 60 days. I'm a 602 and resigned recently and yet my LWD is showing up as 30 days from now. Anyone recently resigned can confirm if they are facing the same or new policy is in effect. This is causing confusion with the next companies I'm interviewing with.

What are the absolute numbers? Salary cut if it’s from 100K to 82K is going to hurt a lot more than 300K to 250K.. hmm now that I said it, either way it’s not worth it 😂
You should wait and target exits with a bit more comp. That’s way too low 2 years post MBA.

I wouldn't take it. The mbb name is alluring when you're at big 4, but it doesn't carry nearly as much weight when people find out you're internal rather than a consultant. And that's before the big pay drop.
Just go to industry instead.
Is the new role actually safe in a recession? Consulting companies are notorious for laying off tons of internal people during down turns
Personally I'd pass unless you are really desperate to leave consulting
Plus, consulting internal roles are even more prone to layoffs.
Don't take the cut.
Totally depends on your own personal financial situation. Deloitte looks great on the resume but MBB would be a nice enhancement. Better wlb and probably a more long term destination if you want it. Personally I would do it but I am biased bc I know how bad Deloitte is.
What is the firm, what are the numbers and what COL?
Higher tier consulting firm doesn’t matter if it’s internal position (generally).
If you can meet your financial goals with the lower base salary, go for it!
MBB
Base: From 195 to 160
Bonus target: ~10% (usually for my OP) to 15%

Overall feels below market rate for having MBA and my yoe, but maybe my views are skewed
Do you WANT an internal role?
OK. So this sounds like a solid move. Maybe you can negotiate the comp?
What’s the role? If it’s with us feel free to DM me and I can give candid thoughts if it’s something I’m familiar with (I’m former internal role at BCG)
Thanks everyone for the input! Update: they came back with increasing base to $165k and $20k signing bonus. Thinking of going back to them to see if they would add $10k to base or signing bonus. Still finding it hard to stomach a $30k drop in salary but the bonus eases the pain 😅
Hi hope everything worked out but curious what you ended up doing? I’m in a very similar position rn
