You don’t HAVE to have your health deteriorate. Just FYI. Exercise. Take walks. Eat well.
Being sedentary will mess you up. Once I became aware, I got myself a standing desk. Balance board. And I try to take as many breaks and at least take a walk if I’m not able to get to the gym.
Pro
Just getting old, sport
Get up early and go to the gym. Let work sacrifice a bit in the evening. Eventually you’ll learn to balance the two. 45 min workout is not long
I know I can correct action on these now that I am aware of them but it's crazy how fast things started to get bad.
Pro
Try to get 10k steps daily and get up and walk around for a min or two every hour. Will change your life
I do 30-60 mins of cardio daily in addition to going on a walk outside everyday (when the weather is nice). These small things add up

Geez, I'm 44 and weigh 280lbs and don't have a single ache or medical concern. You gotta turn this around!

Take calls while moving around. Don’t stay in chair for more than 45 mins. Schedule breaks in your calendar and reminders in your phone to get up and do some stretches.
Buy a puppy and walk it! Great company, good for stress levels, walk at lunch time and then after work and chuck a ball around your home office every so often

Aww what a cutie!
