Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.

Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. Also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, but would love to hear some tips or even better, maybe have a quick chat if willing?

Is anyone utterly confused about what they want to do long-term?

What are some good books that helped you with consulting? Looking for some good reads.

I am an IT Professional with 15 + years of experience of which 12 years in mainframe programming across various domains insurance, banking, telecom etc currently working as a senior Technichal Business Analyst for Lending completed the Pspo1 certificate recently. Experienced with both Agile and water fall model well versed in scrum master and PO roles Would it be a nice idea to switch as a product owner .

I need your honest advice one which options below is better for career projection into leadership roles:
Staying in cybersecurity consulting and moving up the ranks or exiting to product management at a Faang and then no idea what?
Like when you become product manager at a Faang what your career into leadership look like?

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

Looking for honest opinions: would you trust career advice from someone who doesn’t necessarily have a background in career coaching but has always been “that friend” that everyone calls for career advice, resumes, salary negotiations etc?
I have a long background in management and have been very successful in climbing the ladder but I would love to start career coaching on the side. Any feedback is helpful!

In college/grad school I always had a meal plan which made it super easy to get food. Then right after grad school I went right into consulting which I’ve always expensed meals or eaten out.

Now being at home, I have to adult by finding and making food myself - this sucks! 🤣😫

I am having 2.5 years experience in the IT sector on vision plus as a software engineer (before joining the bank). How long should I wait to leave a company after being back from maternity leave? I interviewed during my leave and I got an offer the week i went back to work. Im currently buying time as I’m debating between staying or leaving

Is it naive to hope that there could be a job out there that I actually LIKE doing as opposed to just forcing myself to do it for the paycheck? I work for a great company with (mostly) great people but still find myself wishing I could be doing anything else throughout the workday. After a number of different jobs in industry and consulting have left me feeling the same after a year or so, I'm starting to wonder if it'll always be this way and actually liking work is just out of reach.

I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. Funny how lawyers will spend thousands on seminars to improve trial skills. But this topic is not discussed in our profession. I have read books in sales. But am unable to find any for lawyers.
