I don’t know where you are now, but seems a good offer. With one of the lower costs of living in the region you should do well in Philly on that.

like

Nice. Sounds like a good deal.

I think that’s a great offer. Total comp is around $300k. That’s what I’m seeing as a consulting director.

No, don’t take it. Someone else out there could use that money.

That's pretty good

So, job talk aside, I lived in Philly for 5 years. There are VERY few things, including $280k annually that could get me to move back. It’s a failing city full of hideous (not unjustified) racial tensions, income disparity, and failed infrastructure. Good food, though.

It's amazing now. Philly.

What the hell - this is a really good offer.

Wow - if Comcast then HARD PASS.

Low from what I have seen

funny

$250k base is what I’d like in that scenario, but if the company is really nice then maybe I can settle for $220k

Make it 300k because anything less than that will make you feel worthless a management consultant right?

Are you mbb?

I am not but most of their existing Corp Strat team is

TE?

That’s what I reckoned too.

This seems like a good offer if you like the job.

Philly should be giving you hardship pay.

A little bump on the base would be nice. Do considet the other perks and benefits too. Goodluck

Great offer esp for Phil

Yes, that is a very solid industry offer, Philly or not.

Sounds like a great offer

Have an offer that pays ~$350-450k a year, but is very bonus heavy and about 25% of that or more will be restricted stock and options. Making ~$350k now all cash. And the way it’s structured, in the first year I’ll end up being ~$50k short for the year of where I would be if I stayed. Also requires a big move to a location I’m not too keen on. WLB is better, probably 50 hours a week but need to be plugged in 100% of the time. Any considerations I haven’t really thought about? What should I ask?

Ps: I have offer letter in hand with 15.5 fixed + variable as per company performance from EY. 6 more interviews are in HR discussion or offer release stage. Any thoughts welcome

I accepted an offer from another firm and gave notice to my direct partner on Friday. He asked me to wait a few days as a courtesy before giving notice to the firm’s managing partner. The partner I work for knows several of the attorneys at the firm where I got the offer. He is now coming back to me and saying my current firm will match the salary, offer better hours, better title, etc. Needless to say, I’m torn. How bad is it to walk back on an accepted offer? We are in a smaller legal market.

Sometimes I feel like my boss takes "coaching" a little too far. He's all about "breaking me down" in order to "build me up". He's told me things like my voice is too boring when I present, or that I didn't do enough in my last role, suggesting that I wouldn't be in his team if it weren't for him in team meetings. Yesterday he asked me to call someone (on a non-urgent topic) who was on DND, and when I told them I'd call them later, he mimicked me. Am I being too sensitive?

Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). I’m having her do some online typing lessons to get her to be a faster typer, maybe find her a data entry gig. She does not want to do nanny’ing / babysitting. She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?

I’ve read on here that sometimes they will let you go day of and pay you out for two weeks but I don’t see why any firm would do that for somebody not currently performing billable work...
