Pretty sure they just spent millions using an SPG Amex. No way you could get that number with hotel stays.

Yeah 30M points is at least $6M spent at hotels plus bonuses, or maybe $15M spent on the card, so we're definitely talking about either a large group or a big spender

Yes @ACN3 the Amex is a common way to pay for things in USD without taking cash out of the country (more than a certain amount is illegal)... There are entire neighborhoods in LA paid for by Chinese buyers on Amex
