The EU is not a country. Can you be more specific?
In EU? So generic . Not possible to answer this question . You have countries like Poland where the minimum wage is like 600 euro per month. Lawyer with 7 PQE will make about 30.000-35.000 k euro per annum there. You also have the Netherlands where the minimum is 2.000 euro per month . Here you can expect making 160.000 k euro per annum. Still asking about the EU in general?
I’m in big law in the NL and the minimum is def higher than 2k a month. A 7th year in big law (we don’t have the PQ system) would make between around 6 (low end) to 10k a month actually.
Highly market dependent. Nordic countries pays pennies on the dollar, UK pre-Brexit closer to U.S. pay, France and Germany pretty decent. Where would you be located and what type of firm?
Brussels , capital of the EU 🤓
Fun fact…technically the EU has no capital. Three cities are seen to act as capitals because of the EU institutions they host:
1. Brussels (EU Parliament for half the year plus the Commission),
2. Luxembourg (Court of Justice, Parliamentary Secretariat and the Commission); and
3. Strasbourg (EU Parliament for half the year and some other EU bodies).
You do realize the EU encompasses anywhere from Sweden to Greece to Romania? 😂 this must be an American asking this question.
